Home Farm Events wedding photographer
It's Glastonbury Festival this weekend and so it seemed only right to blog about Gemma & Liam's wedding from September last year!
The morning started at their home, where Gemma got ready with her bridesmaids and flower girls. Gemma had a beautiful short dress, meaning she could show off her amazing Vivienne Westwood shoes! (With matching little ones for their daughter too!) The bridesmaids looked fantastic in their red fitted 50's style dresses and looked great with the red rose bouquets by Garden Gate Rugby. The boy's buttonholes were great too, and paper flowers made from music sheets, to tie in with the music/festival theme. Their red vintage Ford Mustang (Anglo American Car Hire Leicester) turned up to take Gemma and her father to the church. The ceremony took place at St. Marie's Catholic Church in Rugby. After the I do’s, some family photos and confetti, everyone headed over to Home Farm Events in Braunston, AKA Glastonbury festival! Gemma & Liam both have a love of music & festivals and created their very own Glastonbury. The marquee looked fantastic, full of bunting and decorations. The table plan was a ‘line up’ poster, the tables were all named after Glastonbury stages/areas and the centrepieces were incredible – beautiful rustic blooms in wellies! Such a cool idea! Instead of a traditional guest book, guests signed vinyl records and they had a guitar case for the cards. The table placenames were photographs of the guests... some brilliant and funny photos that made me chuckle. The best part was seeing guests try and recreate the photo! Each guest also had a miniature bottle of Jägermeister. They had thought of so many little touches. I also can’t forget to mention the gorgeous cupcake tower and super cute cake topper! It was my first visit to the Home Farm Events wedding venue and I’m really pleased to have many more visits to this wonderful venue coming up! There were amazing views (even on a cloudy day) and the hay bales created a great prop for couple portraits. After a few more group photos, guests ate their BBQ food. And then after the speeches, I looked out to see the most amazing sky, so we headed out for some sunset photos. It had been cloudy for most of the day, so this gorgeous evening sky was a bonus! The cake was cut, they took to the dance floor for their first dance and then guests danced the night away to live music by The Rattletones. Before heading home I even managed to get a few creative night portraits. It was such a great day and I loved every minute of it! Congratulations again Gemma & Liam, thank you for asking me to capture your day.
"Amy! You've captured every moment beautifully. We love the photos!"
