Rebecca & Brett | 50's Rockabilly | Skylark Farm

Bride and groom with a 50's rockabilly style kiss at Skylark Farm wedding, with the Norhamptonshire countryside in the background.

Rebecca & Brett got married in July last year at Skylark Farm. When I first met them ahead of their day and they told me about the plans they had, I just knew it was going to be a good one! Their day had a retro, rockabilly style with lots of colour and handmade decor.

The morning started at their home, where Rebecca got ready with her bridesmaids. Rebecca's make-up and hair looked amazing. And I absolutely loved the bridesmaid's 50s style dresses! They had paper pinwheels for the bouquets and buttonholes - such a cool idea! It was then time to head to Skylark for the ceremony and The Old Camper Company arrived with their two campervans - it was great to work with them again! After a few last-minute lipstick top-ups, the girls were ready and it was time for the ceremony.

The ceremony was full of emotion, lots of smiles and laughter and a few tears. It was such a lovely family moment when their girls joined them as they said their vows. After the ceremony, we got some photos with the campervans and Brett's own beetle. Then after group photos, it was time to make the most of the gorgeous views at Skylark for the couple photos. I love Skylark for its incredible views and backdrop!

A part of the day I was really looking forward to was seeing their reception room... they had told me so much about all the decorations they had made and so I couldn't wait to see it all... it did not disappoint - it looked amazing! They had a retro Coca-Cola theme and Brett had been busy making the flower crates and much of the other decor. It felt just like a 50's American diner! Place settings were old vinyl records and the tables were named after films from the era. Rather than a 'traditional' guest book, they had a typewriter to leave well wishes. Brett had also made an amazing kissing booth, that they used as a photo booth in the evening. The cake by Cakes Fabulous Cakes fitted in with their theme perfectly and looked delicious!

They were joined halfway through the first dance by their daughters - the girls played such an important part of their day. Then Rebecca had a dance with her dad and Brett a dance with his mum - a lovely moment to photograph!

I absolutely loved photographing this wonderful couple's day and I am so pleased to finally share their wedding on the blog!

"I can't rate this lady highly enough! Thanks to her our wedding day will be forever in beautiful pictures.

She managed to get the whole feel of the wedding in the photos.

Amy is professional and friendly and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer. Thank you so much, Amy, we cannot thank you enough for all you did."
